Grange Road Methodist Church is part of Castle Eden Circuit of Methodist Churches, which are a network of Christian congregations in and around the northeast and County Durham. They all work together, to share the love of God with everyone. Bringing people together in worship, bringing Christ’s love to the communities by affirming, encouraging, supporting and helping the Churches to achieve their missions. We are people who worship, witness and work together to share the love of God with everyone. God has called us to serve the present age and look forward with hope.
We gather at 10.30am every Sunday for worship. Services vary in content – we sing together, prayer together, learn and laugh together.
Children and Young People are very welcome to come along on Sunday mornings to worship. they can join in prayers and singing and be part of morning worship. there is pencils and paper also books in the childrens welcome area.
Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is regularly celebrated and all are welcome at the Lord’s Table, either to receive the bread and wine or a blessing, should they prefer. With parental permission, children are also welcome to receive the bread and wine. Please feel at ease remaining in your seat if you do not wish to come forward.
Christian Festivals are celebrated with special services and we regularly join in united services with St George’s United Reformed Church.
and join our circuit churches for joint worship.
We are always delighted to welcome visitors and encourage them to join us for tea and coffee after the morning service. Whether you are new to the Methodist Church or new to the area, a warm welcome awaits you.
